The World Series in St. Petersburg has become a study in one-sided dominance, with the Milwaukee Brewers now holding a three-game lead over the Tampa Bay Rays. In a 10-1 victory on Monday, the Brewers extended their postseason winning streak to seven games, effectively erasing the Rays' hopes of a comeback. The final score flattered Tampa Bay, which scored its lone run on two hits in the ninth inning after the outcome was already decided.

Jackson Chourio was the engine behind Milwaukee's offense, collecting four hits and one run while driving in an RBI. He opened the game with a line-drive single and added singles in his next two at-bats. His fourth hit, a double, came during an eight-run fifth inning that broke the game open. Chourio recorded a .571 batting average in the series, with his four-hit performance marking the first such game by a player of his age since Joe Garagiola in 1946.

Chourio, who is 22 years old, described his approach as treating every plate appearance as his last. He focused on reaching base to allow teammates behind him to score. The outfielder also stole a base during the game, bringing his World Series stolen base total to three. His versatility was evident on the bases and in the field, where he has shown strong defensive instincts throughout the postseason.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy noted that the team was not surprised by Chourio's continued development. Murphy compared the young player's work ethic to that of Kobe Bryant, citing Chourio's discipline and desire to improve every year. The manager emphasized that Chourio is becoming a complete player who understands the demands of the position.

Chourio has been a cornerstone of Milwaukee's recent success, posting 4.9 wins above replacement despite being limited to 127 games by injury this season. He has reached the 20-home run, 20-steal mark in three consecutive seasons. The Brewers have secured his services through the 2031 season with club options that extend potential control through 2033. He remains a leading candidate for the National League MVP award next season.

The Rays have struggled to find a rhythm in the series, scoring four runs in the first inning of Game 2 before failing to score again in a 5-4 loss. In Game 3, they managed only one run on three hits. The Brewers are now one win away from an 8-0 postseason run, a record that would be the first in Major League Baseball history. Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday in St. Petersburg.
